Īt EVO 2017 Salem won his first ever major tournament in Smash 4. On May 16, 2013, Salem was sponsored by CLASH Tournaments. He had never won a tournament prior to Apex 2013. His grand finals set versus Mew2King is known as the best Brawl set of all time. He defeated top players such as MikeHaze, Mr.R, Otori, Dojo, Mikeneko, and Mew2King in both winners and grand finals. At Apex 2013, Salem made one of the biggest wins of his career when he unexpectedly took the tournament. In 2011, Salem entered his first offline tournament, placing 5th at Concentrate II.
